Lactesa Stop Tea is a carefully created herbal formula for mothers with hyperlactation, tense and engorged breasts or during smooth weaning. The combination of sage, mint, hibiscus and licorice is inspired by traditional herbal practice and modern experience in supporting breastfeeding mothers. The goal is a gentle and predictable reduction in breast milk secretion, while maintaining breast comfort.

Ingredients:

• Sage - Salvia officinalis - traditionally used for hyperlactation and weaning. Sage is the most commonly used herb when aiming for a controlled reduction in milk production. It contains terpenoids (including thujone) that are empirically believed to affect the prolactin axis and the let-down reflex.
• Peppermint – Mentha piperita - "peppermint" is associated with a reduction in overflow and a decrease in the oxytocin reflex. The menthol it contains affects the let-down reflex and reduces breast tension.
• Hibiscus – Hibiscus sabdariffa - traditionally used to reduce serum prolactin and reduce milk production - works most effectively in the early stages of lactation.
• Licorice – Glycyrrhiza glabra - a second-line lactosuppressant - improves receptivity and hydration and is potentiated in combination with sage and licorice.

Who is it suitable for:

• Mothers with hyperlactation.
• When breast milk reduction is necessary.
• For easier weaning when you want a controlled reduction in breastfeeding.

Method of preparation and intake:

• Dose: 2 filter bags 3 times a day (a total of 6 bags in 24 hours).
• Preparation: Pour 1-6 bags with 200–800 ml of boiling water. Steep for 5 minutes, drain the bags and consume warm or chilled.
• Distribution during the day: morning, afternoon and before bedtime.
• Important: the evening intake should be slightly larger/more concentrated - drink a full glass of extract from 2 bags immediately before sleep. This helps to control lactation more sustainably at night.
• Do not exceed a total of 6 bags per day. After achieving the desired effect, reduce or discontinue intake.
• When weaning: use short-term, in courses of 3–5 days, with breaks according to your comfort.
• Note: Always adjust the intake to the feeling of the breasts and the baby's behavior. If your goal is to increase breast milk - this product is not suitable.

Warning:

• Do not exceed the recommended daily intake!
• Not recommended during pregnancy.
• Sage is not recommended for women suffering from epilepsy.
• Due to the licorice content: avoid when taking corticosteroids or other medications that affect potassium balance.
• If you have gastroesophageal reflux, peppermint may not be tolerated well and may increase your symptoms.
• In case of doubt or specific medical conditions - consult a lactation consultant (IBCLC) or doctor.

Storage:

• Store in a dry and cool place, away from direct sunlight. Keep out of reach of children.
