This plush Sterntaler toy is specially designed to soothe a baby's tummy in colic. It works thanks to the filling in it of wheat seeds, which give a calming and relaxing effect.

• Colic toy with an inner bag full of wheat grains, which is heated in a microwave or ordinary oven and gives warmth to your baby by relieving pain. Always check the temperature before placing the bag back in the toy.

How to heat the bag with filling in an electric oven:

• Preheat the oven to 75 C. Before heating, remove the bean bag from the toy and place it on a clean pan. Place the pan in the middle of the oven. Leave the bean bag in the oven for a maximum of 15 minutes. Then take it out of the oven and let it cool before putting it back in the toy. The temperature should not be hotter than the normal temperature of your hand. Hold the bean bag in your hand for a while to check the temperature

Special tips for safe use of a toy with a Sterntaler heater:

• Never give a hot bean bag outside of your child's toy.
• Replace with a new bag of grain if the old one becomes scorched or changes color. This can be caused by improper operation (overheating or drying out).
• Use only Sterntaler's original filling and pouch.
• Only place the bean bag in a clean, dry toy.
• Store the grain bag in a clean and dry place to avoid germination.
• Do not give your child a heater as a permanent toy.
• Never give warmth to premature babies or babies less than one month old.

A toy with a Sterntaler heater is designed to be heated in an electric oven. If it is heated in a microwave oven (600 watts for 1.5 minutes) you should wait for about 5 minutes after the first heat test. Before returning the bag of grain to the toy, a second heat test must be performed in your hand, as after heating in a microwave oven, the temperature is expected to rise and then for a period of time. That is why we recommend not heating the grain bag in the microwave.
